Crowdsourcing for speech

"Crowdsourcing for speech" is a job order from a company working in the field of voice recognition and transcription.
The aim of this job is to perform a pilot study to evaluate the effectiveness of crowdsourcing for the phonetic transcription of foreign words into Spanish oral phonetic alphabet (i.e. pronunciation respelling) and for the revision of Brazilian audio data transcriptions.

Crowdsourcing jobs are distributed through Amazon's Mechanical Turk channel via the online platform CrowdFlower. An infrastructure and an interface have been implemented to optimize the work of the contributors and the quality of the judgements.
