OntoPrivacy
DESCRIPTION:
OntoPrivacy is a lightweight ontology for the modelization of a glossary of keywords extracted from the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (d.lgs 196/2003). This glossary has been manually created by an expert in the legal field and it is made up of both specific terms of the Public Administration domain (e.g atto amministrativo/administrative act) and generic words (e.g. parere/opinion). Synonymy, hypernymy and hyponymy relations are identified among such terms (e.g. administrative act and judicial act are kinds of act).
OntoPrivacy has been created as part of the Law Making Environment project in order to support the metaSearch (mS) software, a tool that allows to query the functional profile of legislative data.
CELCT’S ROLE:
Taking the relevant terms contained in the glossary as starting points, CELCT worked on the definition of the classes in ontoPrivacy following a bottom-up approach.
This work has been carried on in collaboration with:
- Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques (ITTIG) of the ItalianNational Research Council (CNR)
- Information Science and Technologies (ISTI) of CNR
